Wedding Cake Project Brief
The design of this wedding cake is an adaptation of a Zoe Clark design, however we decided to make some adaptions to make the cake more fitting for our Bride and Groom. As the Bride was having gerberas in her bouquet and throughout her venue we decided that sugar gerberas would bring the design together.
How We Made The Wedding Cake
The cake itself was covered in white chocolate, therefore we had to make all the decorations in advance ready to put on the cake once it was covered.
The gerberas were made by hand from sugar, they are extremely time consuming and delicate due to the amount of petals needed to make them look realistic. Once they had dried we set about dusting them to match with the Brides bouquet.
Wedding Cake Ingredients
The cake was a mixture of white chocolate and raspberry cake covered in white chocolate paste, with the remaining two tiers made from a rich chocolate fudge cake filled with chocolate ganache.
