“Naked” Wedding Cake

This is one of our most popular wedding cakes. It is not only good to look at, but is better to eat. We tend to find that a lot of our brides tend to opt for something a little more low key but pretty none the less. Decorated with fresh fruit and fresh flowers.

How We Made The Wedding Cake

As this cake has no icing it needs to be made last minute, and as such we always bake our "naked" cakes the morning that they are due to be delivered and eaten. Once they are cool we then fill with with preserve and vanilla buttercream and decorate with fresh fruit and flowers. We leave the construction of the cake until we are at the venue.

Please note that this cake requires last minute delivery and set up due to the filling. We do not recommend that it sits for any longer than 2 hours before eating.

Wedding Cake Ingredients

All three tiers are made with a light vanilla sponge and filled with a layer of preserve and vanilla buttercream.
