Naked Wedding Cake – Dorset Apple
Wedding Cake Project Brief
A change to our normal "naked" wedding cake, we were asked to create a wedding cake that had the Bride and Grooms favourite cakes, complimented with fresh flowers, fresh fruit and the all important personalised wedding toppers.
How We Made The Wedding Cake
The toppers were made in advance, with various photographs supplied to us in advance to ensure we could get the models as close to the Bride and Groom as possible.
Like all our "naked" cakes, the sponges were made the morning of the wedding to ensure that they stayed fresh until they were eaten.
The flowers were supplied by our local florist and were placed on the cake with the fresh fruit.
Wedding Cake Ingredients
The top tier and third tier were both Dorset Apple cake filled with a brown sugar buttercream. The remaining two tiers were made from a light and fluffy vanilla sponge filled with raspberry buttercream.
