Dali Inspired Birthday Cake

Cake Project Brief

A cake for a budding art student with a love for anything Dali inspired. We were left to our own devices with this cake, our only brief was to create something reminiscent of the artist, I think we achieved this.

How We Made The Cake

Certain elements on the cake had to be made in advance, such as the tree. This allowed us to dry the "melting" clocks in the right position. However, a majority of the cake was simply shading and painting which took a considerable amount of time, although the finished article was well worth it.

Cake Ingredients

A rich chocolate fudge cake filled with a decadent dark chocolate ganache.
