Course Summary:

Making realistic looking flowers is one of our specialities here and with our Introduction to Wired Sugar Flowers course, you will learn the basics of sugar flower decorations. This course is aimed at the more experienced cake decorator or someone who has already started learning and will allow you to further practice your skills.

• Duration: 4 week course (2.5 hours per evening)

During this class you will learn:

Over the course of four weeks you will learn all the skills required to make beautiful wired flowers and turn them into an attractive, life-like spray. Each week you will concentrate on different elements of the spray, ready to put them all together at the end of the course. The course will teach you a minimum of three flower styles including our lovely wired roses.

 The correct paste to use when making flowers

• How to work paste on to a wire
• Which are the correct tools and equipment to use
• How to wire stamens together
• How to tape together a flower
• How to make leaves and a bud
• How to wire a small spray together
• Which colours and dusting powders to use
• How best to store your flowers

 Hint! You can use your spray to decorate birthday cakes and wedding cakes at home. Your spray will keep for many years if packaged correctly!

Rules

• We politely request that people DO NOT bring their own tools so we avoid any confusion.
• You may wish to bring your own carry container.

• All bookings are subject to availability. Sweet Serenity reserves the right to withdraw a product or package at any given time. In this case any outstanding bookings will be given the choice of an alternative product of equal or higher value or a full refund.
• Your time and date is pre-booked. As the kitchen is reserved for a specific time, late arrival will result in a reduced class time.
• If you fail to show up for your class without letting us know no refund or rescheduling will be applicable.
• Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate allergies and dietary requirements on group courses.
