Navy and Pink Wedding Cake
Wedding Cake Project Brief
This was an adaption of a design given to us by the Bride. The cake itself had very few changes from the original design, however we did change a lot of the colours and tones in order to make it more fitting for our Bride and Grooms big day, but apart from that there was a very little design work needed.
How We Made The Wedding Cake
Apart from the bunting there was very little we could make in advance for this cake. The roses on the top tier of the cake were supplied by the Bride and were in fact silk so were added at the last minute.
The dots and swag detail were all hand piped on to the cake once it had been covered, and the bunting was individually placed on to the cake, with ribbon placed in between tiers to finish the design off.
Wedding Cake Ingredients
The Bride and Groom decided to keep things simple with a rich chocolate fudge for the base layer and a vanilla sponge filled with raspberry preserve and vanilla buttercream for the next two layers.
The top tier was a dummy cake used purely to create height and finish the design off.
