Coral Pink and White Rose Wedding Cake
Wedding Cake Project Brief
This was a beautiful cake which was an adaptation of a "Cotton and Crumbs" design. The Bride came in to see us with a clear idea of the look she was after. We adapted the colours and types of flowers which were in the original design to make the finished wedding cake more fitting for our Bride and Groom's wedding day. We also added an extra tier to the design as the cake was to be placed in the large hall of Canford Magna School and the Bride and Groom felt that a three tier cake would be lost in the large venue.
How We Made The Wedding Cake
There was a lot of detail on this cake. The flowers were all handmade, with the large roses being made in advance, this allowed the flowers to dry before we placed them on to the cake. We also made the hydrangeas individually before we taped them together, this allowed them enough movement to fit into the flower spray without damaging the other flowers.
We dusted the hydrangeas in the Brides chosen colours and selected a ribbon to match.
The piping detail was done once all four tiers had been stacked together, we then placed the flowers on to the cake just before delivery.
Wedding Cake Ingredients
The Bride and Groom opted for three tiers of white chocolate and raspberry cake filled with a white chocolate ganache.
The bottom tier was a polystyrene dummy used to give the cake some extra height.
